For the Season 1 finale of Fox’s Wayward Pines series, it was decided that a pivotal scene between Matt Dillon and Toby Jones be reshot so that Carla Gugino could confront the town’s mastermind instead. Unfortunately, the producers soon discovered that not only had the original set been struck but that Toby Jones was no longer available. Tasked with finding a way to salvage the situation, I determined that by concocting background plates for the shots in which Matt Dillon had previously appeared, we could remove him and, via greenscreen, replace him with Carla.
