Job Description
We are currently seeking a skilled Health & Safety Officer with proficiency in Arabic to join our team in Qatar, ensuring a safe and compliant work environment. Responsibilities:
As a Health & Safety Officer (Arabic), you will play a crucial role in promoting and maintaining a safe and healthy work environment for our employees and clients. Your responsibilities will include:
Effectively communicate safety policies, procedures, and guidelines in Arabic to ensure clear understanding among all team members.
Conduct regular risk assessments and inspections to identify potential hazards and implement preventive measures.
Collaborate with relevant departments to address and mitigate identified risks.
Develop and deliver safety training programs in Arabic to educate employees on best practices, emergency procedures, and compliance with health and safety regulations.
Lead investigations into accidents, near misses, and other incidents to determine root causes and implement corrective actions..
Maintain detailed records of incidents and their resolutions.
Stay up-to-date with local health and safety regulations in Qatar and ensure the company's compliance with these standards.
Assist in obtaining necessary certifications and approvals related to health and safety.
Develop and implement emergency response plans, ensuring that all employees are familiar with procedures for various emergency scenarios.
Prepare and submit regular reports on safety performance, including key metrics and recommendations for improvement.
Work closely with other departments to foster a culture of safety and integrate safety considerations into all aspects of operations.
Preferred Qualifications:
BSc in Engineering or any technical discipline.
Minimum 5 years working experience in Environment, Health and Safety in building operations, etc.
Good knowledge of local health and safety governing rules and control measures.
