Aviation Commodity Manager

Job Summary:

Adecco is looking for an Aviation Commodity Manager to develop and execute purchasing strategies for assigned commodities. This role ensures alignment with business objectives, manages supplier relationships, negotiates contracts, and drives cost optimization while maintaining quality and supply chain stability.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategy Development & Implementation:

• Define and deploy purchasing strategies aligned with corporate objectives.

• Consolidate and analyze purchasing data; monitor market trends.

• Identify performance improvement drivers for efficiency and cost savings.

Supplier Management:

• Define supplier panels based on performance and competitiveness.

• Manage sourcing for current and future business needs.

• Assess and mitigate commodity-related risks.

Contract Negotiation:

• Negotiate long-term and global agreements.

• Optimize working capital through logistics solutions (VMI, safety stock).

Cost Optimization & Value Creation:

• Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.

• Implement clauses for continuous improvement and innovation.

Supplier Performance Monitoring:

• Consolidate and report supplier performance metrics.

• Support cross-purchasing initiatives within the organization.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Purchasing, or related field.

• Experience:

  • 5+ years in purchasing negotiations within manufacturing (aerospace, automotive, high-tech).

  • Proven sourcing or commodity management experience.

• Skills:

  • Strong negotiation and supplier relationship management.

  • ERP systems and procurement tools proficiency (Excel).

  • Ability to work across cultural and geographical teams.

Preferred:

• 4+ years of management experience in a matrixed organization.

• Aerospace industry knowledge.

• PMP certification and Lean Six Sigma experience.

• Strong financial acumen and analytical skills.

Pay Details: $40.00 to $48.00 per hour
