GoNetspeed is looking for an experienced and dynamic GIS Analyst to join our growing team. In this role, you will provide essential GIS and data analysis support across various departments including Outside Plant Engineering, Market Analysis, IT, and Business Operations. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of GIS experience, along with proficiency in data analysis and database management. You will gain exposure to multiple GIS & data analysis platforms and participate in the implementation of our enterprise-wide GIS system.

As a GIS Analyst, you will play a key role in developing, implementing, and maintaining GIS applications and systems. Your main tasks will include ESRI enterprise and 3GIS administration, ESRI web application creation & maintenance, and creating & maintaining Alteryx models used for advanced data blending and analytics needs. This is an office-based administrator position with the option to work in the office or remotely from our Blountsville, AL; New Gloucester, ME; or Bangor, ME locations. Responsibilities:

Create, maintain, & provide technical support and expertise to end-users of ESRI enterprise web applications.

Support the engineering team by helping maintain a usable, stable, & fast 3GIS environment.

Create data automation scripts in Alteryx to facilitate the creation of various datasets.

The GIS analyst will be responsible for running models that perform quality control on data, developing tools to share spatial data within the organization, and migrating data to a central database of record.

Implement best practices for data management, organization, and quality control within the ESRI & Alteryx environments.

Assist in the development of technical documentation, user guides, and training materials to support GIS users across the organization.

Work closely with stakeholders to understand their requirements and provide effective GIS solutions.

Participate in GIS projects and contribute to the overall GIS strategy and roadmap.

Stay up to date with the latest ESRI technologies, trends, and best practices to ensure continuous improvement of the enterprise GIS platform.

Performs other related duties as assigned by management.*

Nice to Have Skills:

Proficiency in Alteryx

Proficiency in Python

Familiarity with fiber network design principles and experience in implementing GIS solutions for telecommunications or utilities industries.

Experience with 3GIS software or similar GIS applications would be considered an asset.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

3 years of experience with GIS software

ESRI ArcGIS Enterprise and ArcGIS Online experience

Excel experience is a plus.

Strong knowledge of GIS principles, spatial data management, and geodatabase design

Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex GIS-related issues.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail

Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team-oriented environment

ESRI certifications (such as ArcGIS Enterprise Administration) would be advantageous

General computer proficiency and familiarity with basic business programs (email, Windows, web browser, Excel) required.

Sharepoint or other shared files system experience is a plus.

Demonstrated interest and ability in learning new software programs and program features.

Attention to detail is paramount.

Ability to work independently on multifaceted projects.

Ability to prioritize and manage to deadlines.

Strong verbal and written communication skills required.

Education

Bachelor's degree; preferably in GIS, Geography, Computer Science, or related field.

$70,000 - $85,000 a year
