Base pay range $40.00/hr - $48.00/hr Pacific Retail Capital Partners is a fully integrated, entrepreneurial organization with experience in retail real estate. Our team supports ownership and management across shopping center portfolios, providing operating partner services and portfolio oversight. Role Digital Marketing Consultant — lead digital marketing strategy and execution across our shopping mall portfolio and corporate channels. Guide on-property teams while managing digital efforts at the corporate level to align with business goals and drive engagement. Focus on B2C and B2B audiences, ensuring brand consistency and measurable results. Apply expertise in digital trends, content marketing, influencer strategy, and analytics to support business growth and expansion. Collaborate with the corporate marketing team to deliver cohesive messaging and maximize digital impact. This is an independent contractor role; you will be self-employed, responsible for taxes, and will not receive employee benefits. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field. 5+ years of digital marketing experience with a focus on social media, content strategy, and performance marketing. Proven ability to lead multi-property digital initiatives and collaborate with remote or cross-functional teams. Expertise in content creation, including video editing, Reels, Canva design, copywriting, and storytelling. Proficient in digital tools such as Meta Business Suite, Google Analytics, CRM systems, and social media management platforms. This position is only open to U.S. residents. Candidates must have the legal right to work in the United States. Your responsibilities Develop and oversee all digital marketing strategies for the corporate brand, including external social media, internal staff communications (email newsletters and SMS), website, and paid digital advertising. Grow and evolve the company’s digital presence to ensure brand consistency, engagement, and relevance across all platforms. Ensure all digital strategies align with the marketing vision set by the VP(s) of Marketing and support the property portfolio. Utilize digital platforms to create and execute a content plan that supports corporate strategies, drives growth, and supports leasing and investment goals while highlighting milestones, innovation, team culture, and thought leadership. Provide strategic oversight, tracking, and guidance for digital marketing across the portfolio, ensuring excellence in execution and digital branding. Support centers in growing digital engagement and in-center conversion; provide direction to apply to property digital marketing strategy. Provide training for Pocketstop M360 CRM platform, including email, SMS, in-center activation campaigns, contests, event registration, and database growth strategies. Conduct field training and ongoing development for property teams, including onboarding of new hires and continuing education for platforms such as M360, Pocketstop, Instagram, Facebook, X, and TikTok. Create toolkits, best practices, and content frameworks to scale campaigns with center-specific customization. Manage contracts and relationships with digital marketing vendors, ensuring cost-effectiveness, timely renewals, and performance optimization. Support property teams in identifying influencers, partners, and media to amplify reach and impact. Content Development & Performance Marketing Oversee creation of content that resonates with target audiences and elevates the brand voice (videos, reels, static posts, and carousel graphics). Manage corporate paid social and digital advertising strategies, including budgeting, creative direction, audience targeting, and performance optimization. Develop and manage influencer partnerships that support in-center sales and foot traffic. Collaborate with PR to amplify digital storytelling and leverage earned media. Manage property and corporate websites, including agency management, content updates, and site evolution as needed. Includes onboarding and offboarding website, social, and CRM needs. Innovation & Strategic Development Research and propose new digital marketing opportunities, delivering at least one new strategic idea per year for consideration and testing. Monitor trends, consumer behavior, competitive landscape, AI, and platform updates. Identify emerging platforms and opportunities and share insights with marketing leadership. Analytics & Optimization Digital reporting (monthly, quarterly, annually). Analyze campaign performance and provide actionable insights to improve engagement and ROI. Interpret corporate and property analytics to demonstrate ROI and digital marketing value to stakeholders. Establish KPIs and create dashboards and content calendars aligned with the communications plan. Other tasks as assigned.
