About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief People and Culture Officer to lead its talent and culture initiatives. The successful candidate will be responsible for attracting, developing, and retaining a workforce that is essential to the organization's growth and mission. This role involves partnering with executive leadership and the HR team to implement a comprehensive HR strategy, with a focus on recruitment, retention, employee engagement, and diversity, equity, and inclusion. The Chief People and Culture Officer will also be a key player in fostering a positive, mission-driven organizational culture and will serve as a thought partner to the executive team on all people-related matters. The ideal candidate for this position at the company will be a strong operator, strategist, people leader, partnership creator, and storyteller. They should have a proven track record in people-centered HR practices, be adept at managing change, and have the ability to build trusting relationships at all levels. The role requires a seasoned change agent who can understand the big picture while effectively managing day-to-day HR activities. The Chief People and Culture Officer will also be expected to lead key initiatives on employee engagement and well-being, and to ensure that the organization's values and culture are reinforced across all levels. Technical HR expertise, particularly in an international development environment, is essential, and preference will be given to candidates with a strong logistical fit, including the ability to speak French and a willingness to travel to the company's countries of operation.
