Mahershala Ali stars as Wayne Hays, an Arkansas detective in the early stages of dementia who has spent several decades investigating the murder of a young boy and the disappearance of the boy’s sister. Moving between three separate time periods, the story follows Wayne’s obsession with the case and the impact it’s had on both his personal and professional relationships.
