Ultimate Staffing is seeking a Web Developer - Full-Time, 100% Onsite, for our Belleville, IL client. A dynamic and growing organization is seeking a skilled and versatile in-house Web WordPress Developer to lead the development and maintenance of websites. This role involves collaborating with internal teams to build user-friendly, visually appealing, and high-performing websites that support business objectives. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience where during their tenure they have mastered the project management of building new websites, creating repeatable processes and templates, and have strong coding skills. ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities * Design, develop, and launch websites and web applications using WordPress, Magento, and Shopify. * Customize themes, plugins, and extensions to meet specific design and functionality needs. * Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code (PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, Liquid). * Maintain and update existing websites, including bug fixes, content updates, and security patches. * Troubleshoot technical issues and implement security best practices. * Optimize websites for performance, scalability, and SEO. * Integrate third-party APIs and services. * Collaborate with marketing and content teams to implement updates and campaigns. * Ensure responsive design and cross-browser compatibility. * Stay current with platform updates, trends, and vulnerabilities. * Manage website backups and provide technical support to internal teams. * Support for eCommerce team website development as needed, for Shopify and Magento. ________________________________________ Qualifications * Proven experience as a Web Developer with a strong portfolio across WordPress; Bonus for Magento, and Shopify. * Proficiency in PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, and Liquid. * Experience with database management (e.g., MySQL) and version control systems (e.g., Git). * Understanding of SEO principles and responsive design frameworks (e.g., Bootstrap, Tailwind CSS). * Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills. * Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively. * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or equivalent practical experience 5+ years experience ________________________________________ Compensation & Benefits * Salary: $55,000 - $75,000 per year * Benefits: * 401(k) with matching * Health, dental, and vision insurance * Flexible spending and health savings accounts * Life insurance * Paid time off * Employee assistance program All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, national origin, age, ancestry, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, disability, medical condition, genetic information, pregnancy, or military or veteran status.
