Welder’s Helper / Craftsman – Shutdown Project (Williams, CA)
Pay: $20.00–$25.00 per hour (DOE)
Schedule: Up to 12-hour shifts | 7-8 days during project week
Duration: 1-week project – First week of November
Location: Williams, California
Employment Type: Temporary | Project-Based | Through Key Staffing

About the Role
Key Staffing is hiring Welder’s Helpers / Craftsmen to support an industrial shutdown project in Williams, CA . This is a great opportunity for individuals with mechanical aptitude and industrial or power plant experience to assist rig welders and perform essential hands-on work during a high-demand maintenance project.

Responsibilities

• Assist welders in setting up and breaking down equipment and materials.
• Perform mechanical and manual labor duties, including cutting, grinding, and prepping materials.
• Handle and organize tools, hoses, and welding leads safely and efficiently.
• Support confined space operations (certification required).
• Help with bolt-up, installation, and repair of industrial piping and mechanical components.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all site safety requirements.
• Follow direction from supervisors and welding teams to ensure project deadlines are met.

Requirements

• Confined Space Certification (Required)
• Mechanically inclined with previous experience in industrial, refinery, or power plant settings .
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts , 6–7 days per week for the duration of the project.
• Must be able to lift 50+ lbs and work in physically demanding environments.
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel to Williams, CA.
• Must pass pre-employment screenings.

Compensation & Per Diem

• Pay: $20.00–$25.00/hour, depending on experience.
• Per Diem: Provided daily to combine for hotel and mileage expenses.
