Overview J PW Structural Contracting located in Syracuse, NY is currently seeking Structural Welders to join their team! Positions are Monday - Friday, 5:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. or 6:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. with optional Saturdays, when applicable, 6:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. Structural Welders play a key role in the success of our company. They must be sure to follow company policies, operations and work in harmony with co-workers to ensure the Company’s success. They perform the day-to-day activities required of them in the shop with the goal of meeting the production schedule set forth by the Shop Foreman, all while maintaining a safe working environment and staying within quality standards. Responsibilities Weld and fabricate structural steel Follow blueprints to meet product specifications Calculate material measurements to verify specifications Receives instructions, prints, and work orders for the job. Plans details of working procedure, tools and material requirements. Fabricates by cutting, burning, and welding various metals. Cleans and prepares surfaces to be welded. Sets up, assembles, and tacks weld parts. Keeps equipment and work area clean and orderly Remote Position No Min Compensation USD $20.00/Hr. Max Compensation USD $30.00/Hr. Qualifications 3+ years experience in welding Familiarity with welding tools and procedures Basic knowledge and understanding of layout Familiarity with reading and understanding blueprints Ability to handle physical workload Starting Wage will DOE Company Website Company Profile Take a walk around our 100,000sq.ft. JPW’s Fab Shop is full of state of the art techniques and equipment, with skilled employees putting it all to use daily. Our bays are all equipped with 2 10-ton overhead cranes to provide us with the capability to tackle even the largest jobs. Our facility also includes an in-house detailing department utilizing the most up to date and innovative software available, giving JPW the edge when it comes to complex projects. JPW Fabrication Specialties include but are not limited to the following: Multi-story Bldgs. and Commercial Retail stores Electrical Substation Steel- Design/ Build Steel Truss Fabrication & plate girders In house Sand blasting and painting booths. Ornamental Handrails, Aluminum, Carbon, and Stainless Steel Miscellaneous Steel Design and Fabrication, Load testing (ie. Stairs, Ladders, Lifting fixtures, Spreader beams, Pusher Snow plows, buckets, blade fixtures) Plate Weldment Fabrications/ in house bending & rolling capabilities Press breaks up to 12’ long with 250 ton capacities #J-18808-Ljbffr MACNY's Job Board
