Our client is a New York-based company specializing in non-emergency medical transportation management since 2016. With a commitment to safe, reliable services, they are expanding their capabilities to support broader transportation initiatives, including school transportation systems.

Project Description

The current initiative focuses on developing a comprehensive school transportation management platform. The goal is to ensure the safe and efficient transport of children to and from school through real-time bus tracking, route optimization, and seamless communication between parents, drivers, and school administrators. The system is powered by a modern tech stack featuring a React front end, Java backend, and AWS-based infrastructure.

What You'll Do

• Develop modern, high-performance web applications using React and Next.js
• Collaborate with designers and backend engineers to deliver clean, scalable UI components
• Optimize web applications for SEO, performance, and accessibility
• Maintain and enhance the existing codebase, including code reviews and refactoring
• Contribute to architectural decisions, especially around SSR and static site generation

Job Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building production-grade React applications
• Strong hands-on experience with Next.js (SSR, routing, data fetching)
• Familiarity with state management libraries such as Redux, Zustand, or Context API
• Experience working with RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL
• Familiarity with deployment and CI/CD tools
• Proficiency with Git and collaborative workflows
• English level: B2 or higher

Nice To Have

• Experience with testing frameworks such as Jest or Cypress
• Familiarity with Tailwind CSS or styled-components
• Understanding of accessibility and web performance best practices
