Job Overview:
True Lumber is seeking an experienced and organized Office Manager to join our team. As the Office Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our office, ensuring efficiency and productivity. This is a full-time position with regular office hours.
Duties:
- Manage the front desk, including greeting visitors and answering phone calls with professionalism and excellent phone etiquette.
- Maintain filing systems to ensure easy access to important documents.
- Assist in training new employees and developing training materials as needed.
- Manage vendor relationships, including ordering office supplies and equipment.
- Manage new hire paperwork, including submission to HR department. Oversee timecard processing and ensure accuracy. Coordinate with HR department regarding discrepancies, corrections, etc.
- Maintain and troubleshoot office equipment.
- Supervise staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Track inventory levels in coordination with the Lumber Yard Manager. Schedule inbound and outbound shipments of lumber.
- Perform general clerical duties such as data entry, copying, and scanning.
Experience:
- Proven experience as an Office Manager or similar role.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with payroll systems and processes.
- Previous experience supervising administrative staff is preferred.
