Job Description

Proximo is launching recruitment for 2024 Marketing Trainee Program! Start your marketing career by working with some of the industry’s best-known spirits brands such as Jose Cuervo Tequila, Bushmills Irish Whiskey, and Three Olives Vodka. As a member of Proximo’s marketing trainee program, you’ll rotate through key areas of Brand, Media, PR/Events, and Trade Marketing. This 18-month rotational program will provide you with the cross-functional skillset to prepare you for the next level at Proximo Spirits.

As you work across different marketing functions and business areas at Proximo you’ll grow a deep understanding of how we develop and market each unique brand to compete in the US spirits industry. That starts with laying the brand foundations and strategy and working hand in hand with internal teams and our agency partners to bring our brands to life across media channels, in culture and at retail.

Role & Responsibilities

Brand Rotation

  • Support the development and execution of brand strategy, managing specific work streams and day-to-day execution work to drive growth for the brand
  • Analyze data to inform key decisions on where to allocate resources
  • Own and manage marketing programs
  • Manage tracking and analysis of business performance against a brand scorecard (Brand Health Tracker, Nielsen, NABCA, NPD, ROI, brand P&L)

PR/Media Rotation

  • Support the development and execution of PR and Media campaigns, managing specific campaign or product launch projects
  • Assist with the execution of experiential platforms or programs, coordinating the pre, during, and post-consumer communications channel plans
  • Support Proximo’s digital transformation adoption, working on portfolio-wide digital projects and test programs that drive conversion and loyalty

Digital Shopper

  • Work in collaboration with respective channel teams to create and implement e-Retail account plans for key multi-channel customers
  • Track and collate channel performance of accounts and create quarterly wrap-ups for internal and external stakeholders
  • Identify digital sales opportunities for these channels and work with marketing and the relevant channel heads and account managers to bring these ideas to life and trade marketing to scale these activations
  • Work with Digital Shopper & eCommerce Marketing Manager and marketing teams to create and distribute assets for online activations
  • Develop understanding of the competitive landscape of marketplaces and make recommendations back into the business on how we can optimize and grow market share
  • Field Education and Marketing (3 Visits) per rotation

Knowledge and Experience

  • BS or MBA degree in marketing or a related field required
  • This is an entry-level position, maximum of 1-year working experience (after graduation)
  • Project management skills, data analysis, budget management
  • Ability to be creative, conceptual, and imaginative, yet practical enough to solve day-to-day problems
  • Ability to manage projects independently from start to finish and meet deadlines
  • Ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced, and dynamic environment
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, influencing, and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Program starts June 2024

The salary range for this role is a base salary of $66,500 to $87,500 along with an annual bonus, 401K match, and medical and wellness benefits. The range will vary if outside of this location. Base salaries are determined during our interview process, by assessing a candidate’s experience and skill set against internal peers and against the scope and responsibilities of the position.
