Hooks Meng & Clement (HMC) is on the hunt for a committed Law Clerk to become part of our expanding Las Vegas office. We specialize in Workers’ Compensation Insurance Defense, OSHA Employer Representation, and Industrial Insurance Litigation, serving a diverse clientele that includes employers, insurers, and third-party administrators. 

The Law Clerk position offers a valuable opportunity for individuals who are interested in pursuing a career as a licensed attorney. The role provides hands-on experience and helps build a strong foundation of knowledge and skills.

$50,000 + annually

• Legal Research: Conduct research on various legal topics and provide summaries of findings to support the firm's attorneys.
• Document Preparation: Assist with the preparation of legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and correspondence.
• Case Management: Support case management tasks, such as scheduling court appearances, preparing case summaries, and organizing case files.
• Communication: Communicate effectively with clients, court staff, and other stakeholders as directed by the firm's attorneys.
• Administrative Support: Perform general administrative tasks, such as filing, photocopying, and scheduling appointments.

• Education: Bachelor's degree and must have attended or currently be attending law school.
• Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
• Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment.
• Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team and communicate with clients.
• Legal Knowledge: Basic understanding of the legal system and legal terminology.
