J ob Description: Position Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and responsible individual to join our team as a Janitorial Staff member. The Janitorial Staff is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of our facilities to ensure a safe and pleasant environment for employees and visitors.
Key Responsibilities: - Cleaning and Sanitizing: Perform routine cleaning tasks, such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitizing all areas of the facility, including offices, restrooms, break rooms, and common areas. Trash Removal: Empty and dispose of trash and recycling materials in accordance with company policies and regulations. Restroom Maintenance: Ensure that restrooms are stocked with necessary supplies (toilet paper, soap, hand towels) and are kept clean and sanitized throughout the day. Surface Disinfection: Regularly disinfect high-touch surfaces such as doorknobs, light switches, and handrails to prevent the spread of germs and viruses. Supply Management: Monitor and report inventory levels of cleaning supplies and request replenishments as needed. Reporting and Maintenance: Report any maintenance issues or safety concerns to the supervisor promptly and assist in coordinating repairs or improvements. Safety Compliance: Follow all safety guidelines, including the proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment, to maintain a safe working environment. Teamwork: Collaborate with colleagues and work as part of a team to ensure the facility's cleanliness and hygiene standards are consistently met.
Qualifications: - Previous janitorial or cleaning experience preferred but not required. (Warehouse/Industrial)
Ability to operate cleaning equipment and use cleaning chemicals safely. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining cleanliness standards. Good communication skills to interact with colleagues and supervisors effectively. Physical ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods. Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
Working Conditions: - The position may require working indoors and outdoors, depending on the cleaning needs.
May involve occasional evening or weekend shifts. May require wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as necessary.
