Now Hiring: Heavy Equipment Operator

Location: Portland, CT
Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 6:45 am to 3:30 pm
Pay Rate: $28-34/hr, depending on experience

Responsibilities:

• Experience in various types of heavy equipment operation, including but not limited to excavators, bulldozers, loaders, dump trucks.
• Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance and basic repairs on equipment as needed.
• Safely and efficiently operate equipment to complete assigned tasks, such as excavation, grading, and paving.
• Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, maintenance activities, & daily production.
• Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively to ensure a safe and productive working environment while always adhering to safety protocols and regulations.

Requirements:

• Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
• Physical stamina and ability to work in various weather conditions.
• Snow removal experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Ability to read, understand and execute site plans.
• OSHA 10 (preferred)
• CDL-A license (preferred)
