Position Description

Were looking for a Head of Brand Strategy to shape and scale our brand into a cultural icon that resonates across markets. As a senior leader reporting directly to the CMO, youll play a pivotal role in defining Blueairs global voice and ensuring that our brand consistently inspires consumers at every touchpoint. Youll collaborate closely with product, innovation, creative, sales and supply chain teams to unlock growth, build cultural relevance, and bring our mission to life.

We believe that were better together. Our team is hybrid and requires applicants to live commuting distance from a Blueair office (NYC or Chicago Loop) and be in-office Tuesday-Thursday.

Responsibilities and Functions

  • Define and evolve Blueairs global brand positioning, narrative, and identity to stand out in a competitive marketplace.
  • Leverage consumer insights and data to ensure messaging connects with diverse audiences worldwide.
  • Lead the development of global brand campaigns, storytelling platforms, and creative assets, maintaining consistency across digital, retail, and experiential channels.
  • Partner with product and innovation teams to influence product development, naming, packaging, and overall go-to-market and portfolio strategy.
  • Oversee brand strategy budgets, allocating resources effectively across campaigns, activations, and partnerships.
  • Develop strategies that drive cultural relevance, including social virality, partnerships, and influencer and celebrity collaborations.
  • Continuously monitor industry trends and the competitive landscape to inform strategic adjustments.
  • Oversee brand expression across owned, earned, and paid channels, from online to retail to events.
  • Manage external creative and marketing partners to ensure alignment with brand vision and execution quality.
  • Establish brand health KPIs, track performance, and continually optimize strategies based on results.
  • Define key consumer personas and develop success metrics to evaluate brand resonance and reach.
  • Build and mentor a high-performing team while aligning stakeholders across functions and global markets.
  • Jump in on cross-functional projects and evolving priorities, taking on new tasks as they arise to support the brands growth and success.

Skills & Qualifications

  • 10+ years in brand strategy, marketing, or related roles, ideally with experience in durable goods, consumer products, or lifestyle brands.
  • Bachelors degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field (advanced degree a plus)
  • Proven success in building and scaling a brand across multiple channels and geographies.
  • Strong experience leading integrated brand campaigns from strategy to execution.
  • Comfort working in a small, entrepreneurial environment where agility and hands-on execution are key.
  • Deep understanding of consumer insights, cultural trends, and how to translate them into impactful strategies.
  • Experience partnering with product and innovation teams to shape portfolio and product stories.
  • Inspirational leadership style with the ability to align diverse stakeholders globally.

Pay: The base salary pay range for this position is $140,000 to $160,000 per year. Blueair takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs.

Bonus: This position is bonus eligible.
