Tutor Doctor of Morris County (TDMC) is looking for a dedicated Tutor or NJ Certified Teacher (preferred) to work with elementary & middle school students in the Morristown/Mendham/Chester, NJ area. This role is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact by combining subject-area instruction in the humanities (English, Social Studies) with executive functioning coaching to help students stay organized, manage their time, and thrive academically. At TDMC, we believe that learning should be personal, flexible, and student-centered. Whether working one-on-one or in small 2:1 buddy sessions, you will have the chance to tailor lessons to individual student needs, ensuring every student feels supported and engaged. Key Details: * Location: Morristown/Mendham/Chester (in-person) * Schedule: Flexible schedule after school, weekends if available and clients are available * Format: One-to-one; * Subject: Humanities (English, Social Studies) * Focus Areas: Subject tutoring plus executive functioning skills (organization, preparedness, study strategies, time management) Job Responsibilities: * Provide individualized or small-group instruction in English and Social Studies concepts (grades K–8). * Support students in strengthening executive functioning skills such as note-taking, time management, test prep, and long-term project planning. * Quickly assess academic levels using your professional expertise and information provided by families. * Reinforce and extend classroom concepts taught at school, ensuring alignment with the student’s curriculum. * Assist with daily homework, quizzes, and test preparation. * Create or adapt lesson plans to meet each student’s goals and learning style. * Maintain regular communication with families and collaborate effectively with colleagues to monitor student progress. * Uphold professionalism and represent Tutor Doctor as a trusted educational partner. Job Requirements:

• Ability to teach English and/or Social Studies concepts at the elementary and middle school level.

Experience supporting executive functioning development preferred. * Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage students and work collaboratively with families. * Willingness to travel in-person to either Morristown/Mendham or Chester for sessions. * Prior tutoring experience is a plus but not required. * Active NJ Standard Teaching Certification or NJ Special Education Certification (preferred). Job Type: * Part-time * Salary: $30.00 – $40.00 per hour, based on experience.
