Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Credentialing Specialist to support the accurate and timely credentialing and recredentialing of healthcare providers. This role is responsible for maintaining provider files, verifying credentials, and ensuring compliance with organizational, regulatory, and accreditation standards. The ideal candidate is organized, thorough, and effective in communication with both internal and external stakeholders. Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the end-to-end credentialing and recredentialing process for providers.
• Collect, verify, and track required documentation and credentials.
• Maintain accurate provider data in credentialing systems and databases.
• Complete primary source verifications in alignment with policies and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor expiring credentials and proactively obtain updated information.
• Communicate with providers and internal teams to resolve discrepancies and ensure timely completion of credentialing tasks.
• Prepare credentialing files for committee review and support internal audits.
• Ensure adherence to state, federal, and accreditation standards.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience in healthcare setting or a related field.
• Strong understanding of credentialing regulations and best practices.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Effective communication and customer service abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and credentialing platforms.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy.

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs. With that said, as required by local law in geographies that require salary range disclosure, Vaco/Highspring notes the salary range for the role is noted in this job posting. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company's 401(k) retirement plan.
