The CIO will manage vendor relations and is responsible for ensuring that vendor-delivered products and projects are on time, within budget and within project specifications. Minimum 5 years in senior information technology positions with a focus on application development. A strong background with relational databases (MySQL preferred). Experience and knowledge with Perl programming. In-depth experience in working with multiple and varied platforms and environments such as Solaris and LINUX. High-level people management skills including project management, performance management and coaching, staff development and the management of vendor personnel. Strong communication and presentation skills that can be directed toward technical and non-technical audiences. Ability to translate highly technical concepts and principles into business oriented language that enables non-technical audiences to understand technical needs, objectives and issues from a value added perspective. Bachelor's degree with a strong emphasis on information technology / science combined with extensive combination of technical and management experience (including leadership responsibilities) which may be substituted for the graduate-level degree.
