About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief People Officer (CPO) to play a pivotal role in the strategic leadership of its human resources, workforce planning, coaching, culture, and internal communications. The CPO will be responsible for building and operationalizing a workforce planning model that aligns with the organization's growth strategy, establishing a performance and talent review rhythm, and redesigning onboarding and reboarding processes. This role demands a collaborative and forward-thinking leader who can work closely with executive leadership to shape a high-performing, inclusive culture that supports both employee well-being and organizational success. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 15 years' leadership experience in talent management, with a focus on scaling organizations and leading cultural and operational change, and a clear alignment with the mission and values of the company. Key responsibilities for the CPO include setting the learning and development strategy, elevating employee communications, and modernizing the intranet experience. The successful candidate will also lead and develop HR operations, talent acquisition, L&D, culture, and employee communications teams, and partner with the C-Suite to integrate people strategy into financial planning and organizational priorities. A minimum of 7 years' experience in nonprofit organizations, particularly those serving diverse socio-economic populations, is required, with an additional 7 years in fast-paced, process-critical sectors being an asset. The CPO will be expected to advise the CEO and senior leadership team on culture, organizational health, and talent decisions, while maintaining high standards for employee relations, compliance, and policy stewardship.
