We are seeking reliable and skilled Yard Jockeys with a CDL-A Tanker Endorsement to join their logistics team. This role is responsible for the safe and efficient movement of trailers within the yard, supporting loading and unloading operations, and ensuring timely freight coordination. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with various vehicle types and a strong commitment to safety and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely maneuver trucks and trailers throughout the yard for staging, loading, and unloading
• Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance
• Operate a variety of equipment, including flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and forklifts
• Assist with loading and unloading freight, ensuring proper cargo securement
• Maintain accurate logs of trailer movements and report any discrepancies or mechanical issues
• Coordinate with warehouse staff to optimize yard flow and delivery schedules
• Adhere to all safety protocols and DOT regulations while operating equipment

Required Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class A license with Tanker Endorsement
• Ability to operate both automatic and manual transmission vehicles
• Experience with flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, or forklifts preferred
• Familiarity with freight handling procedures and yard operations
• Strong understanding of safety regulations and compliance standards
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Experience

• Prior commercial driving or yard jockey experience
• Route driving or delivery experience is a plus
• Strong communication and time management skills
• OSHA 10 certification and manual driving experience
• 10 years minimum or more of work experience
