Position Overview

A Remodel Carpenter specializes in the renovation and improvement of residential and light commercial structures. This role requires proficiency in both rough and finish carpentry, with a strong emphasis on precision, safety, and customer satisfaction. Remodel Carpenters work closely with project managers, designers, and clients to transform existing spaces into functional, aesthetically pleasing environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform skilled carpentry tasks including framing, drywall installation, cabinetry, trim work, and finish carpentry
• Execute demolition and reconstruction of interior and exterior structures
• Read and interpret instructions, sketches, and project specifications
• Install doors, windows, flooring, siding, and roofing components
• Maintain clean and organized job sites, ensuring safety and professionalism
• Communicate effectively with clients and team members to ensure project goals are met
• Use technology (e.g., digital cameras or 360 cameras) to document progress and support estimating workflows
• Perform minor plumbing, electrical, and tile work as needed during remodels
• Track materials, tools, and inventory to ensure timely project completion
• Manage up to two carpenters assistants for the duration of a project

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience working as a Carpenter
• Proven experience in residential remodeling or general carpentry
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in crawl spaces or elevated areas
• Proficiency with hand and power tools
• Strong time management and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of building codes and safety regulations
• Valid driver’s license and cellular phone
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
